Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
During the summer of 2020, APA Indiana released a statement on Racial Inequities and began a concerted effort to understand and correct the systemic and institutionalized racism in our communities, offices, and everyday lives.
To further the goal of APA Indiana to present meaningful and relevant educational opportunities to our membership through education and professional development offerings, the Board of Directors adopted an Inclusion Policy in 2023 at the recommendation of the DEI Committee. This policy is a part of event registrations and is displayed prominently at all APA-Indiana conferences.
That work has continued through our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusivity (DEI) Committee, which has created a Strategic Plan for the chapter to start addressing these critical issues. Click here for a full copy of that document.
