This year, we are eager to curate a diverse program that addresses the evolving needs and interests of planners across Indiana. We encourage submissions that:
- Reflect the diverse needs of planners: Sessions should be relevant to planners in all communities—urban, suburban, rural; public, private, and nonprofit.
- Engage and inspire: We prioritize interactive and engaging sessions that foster collaboration and knowledge sharing among attendees.
- Address key planning issues: Consider incorporating topics such as technology and innovation, rural planning, development and zoning, long range and comprehensive planning, ordinance development and emerging issues.
Mandatory CM Topics:
We strongly encourage submissions that address one or more of the following mandatory Continuing Membership (CM) topic areas:
- Law
- Ethics
- Sustainability/Resiliency
- Equity
Submission Deadline:
Please submit your session proposals by 5:00 PM EST on December 23, 2025.
We look forward to receiving your insightful and engaging proposals!
APA Indiana holds two professional development conferences each year, one in the fall and one in the spring. Conferences are a great way to network with other planners in the state and earn CM credits. Additionally, Region Representatives periodically plan professional development and social events for planners in their regions.
Power, Projects & Planners: A discussion on electricity, large loads and community preparedness
