APA Indiana Committee Opportunities
The APA-Indiana has several active committees and is always interested in member involvement on a committee. If you are interested in serving on a committee, please reach out to Kim Williams (kwilliams@thecorydongroup.com) in the APA-Indiana office.
Awards Committee: The Awards Committee coordinates and implements the Annual Chapter Awards Program including the Sagamore Award.
Professional Development Committee: The Professional Development Committee assists the PDO with the organization and execution of the Spring and Fall conferences.
Legislative and Policy Committee: The Legislative and Policy Committee is responsible for coordinating all testimony given before legislative bodies and for representing Chapter. The Committee reviews state and federal legislation that may affect Chapter members and the profession and proposes new legislation and amendments or commentary on existing legislation.
Membership Committee: The Membership Committee promotes membership in APA and the Chapter and carries out membership campaigns.
Communications Committee: The Communications Committee coordinates all communications for the Chapter including Chapter publications, newsletters, Chapter website, email blasts, communications forums, social media and press releases.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee: The DEI Committee is responsible for putting together action plans to understand and address the challenges of systemic inequity in the field of planning, raise awareness and educate in planning best practices for diversity, equity, and inclusion.
FAICP Nominating Committee: The FAICP Nominating Committee is responsible for identifying potential nominees, recommending them to the Chapter Board for nomination endorsement, and provide guidance to nominees throughout the application process.
Sponsorship Committee: The Sponsorship Committee solicits companies supporting the APA-Indiana and provides unique opportunities for them to interact with APA-Indiana members.
